Through a collaborative effort with the Endangered Wildlife Trust’s “Eye in the Sky” project, we have established a dedicated monitoring platform designed to receive and analyse real-time data from GPS-tracked vultures.
This system incorporates custom algorithms, skilfully developed by the EWT’s vulture experts, with the aim of detecting potential poisoning events.
When such events are identified, immediate alerts are dispatched to conservation managers through a range of communication platforms, including SMS, Email, WhatsApp, EarthRanger, or Cmore. Swift response to these incidents can significantly contribute to the prevention of numerous vulture deaths.
